Yin and Nidra Deep Dive

Unwind tension in the mind and body

A slow, deep and nourishing two hour practice of Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra.

Yin yoga is a deeply nourishing practice that involves long, passive poses done on the floor. This allows us to release long-held tension, free up the joints and bring the mind into a quieter state. The overall effect is a feeling of wellbeing and peace.

​

Yoga Nidra means yogic sleep. You rest in savasana while I lead you through a guided meditation designed to put you in a state between awake and asleep. Yoga Nidra is designed to bring you into a state of deep relaxation and has also been shown to be helpful for managing stress, anxiety and depression.

​

This deep dive into Yin will draw on the various disciplines that go into Yin Yoga, including research into fascia and connective tissue, skeletal variation and target area approaches, as well as the ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine and its understanding of energy and meridians.

 

You do not need any experience in Yin Yoga or Yoga Nidra to participate in this workshop. However you do need to be able to sit on the floor.
