Business Training for Yoga Teachers

Get ready to start your own Yoga business

As a yoga teacher, you may have decided that you want to run your own classes and events, build your own community and go your own way. Perhaps you've already started to teach your family and friends, but want to take that next step forward to attracting your own students and growing your community. Or perhaps you've already begun teaching your own classes, but are frustrated by low numbers and inconsistent attendance.

If you have decided that you want this to be more than a hobby, or you simply want fair reward for your time, energy and passion; then the reality is that you need to start a business. You've probably recognised that running a business requires planning and strategy, but if you aren't sure how to go about it, where do you turn?

Join Danielle Bendall for a weekend immersion that will give you the confidence to get started on the right track. Through hands on activities, best practice templates, and by tapping in to the strengths and knowledge you already have, you will come away with a completed business and marketing plan, and the tools to get your business started or growing to a more sustainable level.

About Danielle

With more than 20 years’ experience in marketing, Danielle Bendall has worked for brands and organisations such as Heinz, White King, Cussons, World Vision Australia and the Heart Foundation. In 2016 she used those skills to start Santosha Yoga Australia, under which she runs weekly yoga classes, regular workshops and retreats.

Danielle is passionate about bringing big brand marketing theory and first-hand sole trader experience together in this no-fluff, practical and hands-on weekend workshop for new teachers and aspiring business owners. This will be an in-person workshop specifically tailored to the Tasmanian context.

Who is this for?

Designed for either new YTT graduates, or those who have been teaching in studios and gyms for a little while, and now want to take the next step of starting their own yoga business. This is for you if you are ready to hit the ground running, learn best through in person environments, and are prepared to put in the effort required to make your dreams a reality.

This course will also benefit those who are already running their own business, but didn't start with the fundamentals of business planning and marketing planning. If you have been "winging it" for a while but feel the need to take stock and get back to strategy rather than chasing the latest tactic, then this could be the reset button that you need.

Why take this course?

Marketing is part art and part science. It is so much more than social media platforms and the latest content trend. There are foundational skills that underpin every solid business plan and marketing strategy. Just as studying anatomy, yoga philosophy, sequencing and teaching skills has equipped you to start teaching yoga, this dedicated course on starting your own yoga business will equip you with a clear plan of action and an understanding of the best practice tools and techniques. And all grounded in the realities of a Tasmanian market.
