Autumn Day Retreat

Location: Kettering, Tasmania.
Between the ebb and the flow of life, there is always a pause: that transition space from one state to the next. Whether it be between an inhale and an exhale, or between heartbeats, or the phase between high and low tide, there is a pause. And in this pause we can find stillness, peace and insight.
The Peaceful Pause Day Retreat is an opportunity to take a day out from your everyday routine and responsibilities to pause. To become totally present in this moment between the past and the future, and in the process connecting to your own body, mind and spirit.
The first thing you will notice as you arrive is the natural bush setting overlooking the D'entrecasteaux Channel.
As you step into the light, bright Yoga Shack, you will notice the peacefulness, and will have a feeling of being on top of the world as you look down through the trees towards Bruny Island.
We will begin our day with a morning meditation to clear the mind and find some space from racing thoughts. Our breathwork practice will emphasize the stillness found in the pause between breaths. We will then enjoy gentle flowing yoga, including plenty of pauses to connect to sensations in your body.
We will share stories and make friends over a nutritious lunched served on the deck looking across to Bruny Island. After a stroll on the property to connect to nature, we will return to the mats for restorative yoga - a form of yoga that invites deep rest through long pauses in stillness.
Finally, we will rest in Savasana as Cassie Stevens leads us through a soothing sound bath using crystal singing bowls. Together with the restorative yoga, the sound bath will help take your nervous system from a sympathetic state (fight or flight) into a parasympathetic state (rest and digest), allowing you to rest and restore your body and mind, and connect to your most calm and clear-minded self.

You do not need to be an experienced yoga or meditation student to attend. This is for you, if you:
Put everyone else's needs before your own
Have fallen into the trap of being busy
Don't know how to switch off your mind or relax your body
Feel like you have lost connection with your true Self
Or, you already know the importance of pausing as part of your self-care

Cancellations more than 4 weeks prior to event: 75% refund
Cancellations 2-4 weeks prior to event: 50% refund
Cancellations made within two weeks of the event: No refund
You may send someone in your place if you are unable to attend.
